Columbus Fire and EMS crews responded to a fire Sunday evening at the Cook Out restaurant located at 3189 Manchester Expressway.

According to Deputy Chief Daniel Macon with Columbus Fire and EMS, firefighters arrived to find fire showing from a corner of the restaurant’s roof.
Crews were able to contain the fire to that area, preventing it from spreading into the interior of the building.
Macon said there was no reported damage to the restaurant’s interior.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Investigators responded to the scene and believe lightning from earlier storms could possibly be a factor. However, the cause remains undetermined at this time.
Officials said investigators will continue looking into the incident once there is daylight Monday to further examine the area.
The restaurant is expected to reopen Monday.
