Plan ahead
Any address, any day. Up to 9 days out, it’s our forecast. Further out, an extended forecast from 30 years of weather here.
Our automated weather channel is on the air around the clock: the radar, the temperatures, the week ahead — and when a warning hits the Valley, it stays with the storm.
What will this season be like in Columbus, Georgia?
A very strong El Niño is steering the Valley’s season — the months ahead, from NOAA’s seasonal outlook.

A very strong El Niño is in place — the three-month index sits at +2.16, and anything past plus nought point five counts. An El Niño strengthens the subtropical jet stream straight across the southern United States. In the record that has usually meant a wetter and often cooler cold season along the Gulf South, with more storm systems crossing the region and a raised risk of severe weather in the Gulf states. None of that is a forecast for any one day; it is where the odds sit for the season as a whole.
